Dare to dance...
I am very passionate and dedicated to my work, and this applies also to my love for the arts as well.

In addition to integrating the arts in my own classroom, I also direct and choreograph for elementary, middle-school and high-school events and productions.
I am very proud to have started the Dance Team at the International School of Beijing many years ago, as well as growing the dance program at Shanghai American School from 15 HS students to 150 students across Elementary School, Middle School and High School in just four years.
Aside from the dancing, I consider the strong sense of community, service and camaraderie amongst the students and families to be one of my greatest accomplishments to date.
I loved how ES, MS and HS dancers would greet each other in the hallways. I loved how my ES kids would run up to one of the senior dancers to ask them to show them how to do a certain move - and those HS students would start dancing with them in the hallway. I loved how the crowd would roar as ES, MS and HS students cheered each other on during rehearsals and performances.

Below are some photos and videos of my own choreography. I know I have done a good job when my students start taking what they have learned to devise amazing creative pieces of their own. Videos of some of their work will be uploaded shortly pending their permission.

Enjoy!
